♦ BEATTY PARK ♦
A redundant pump house was removed together by Sanders Contracting and Advance Drilling at Beatty Park.
Starting with the concrete roof, the handsaw and ringsaws were used to bring the suspended slab down to the catch pad located beneath. Our trainer operators cut the suspended slab into manageable size pieces lowered down by hand.
Concrete Cutters also made use of their skills on the hand saw to carefully separate the pump room from the main building behind, ready for the excavator to come in and pull the building down to the ground.
The final stage was getting a bob cat in to complete the waste load out and removing the slab with it.
Well done to all involved, the close proximity to neighbours and the active pool meant that team work and communication was necessary for a smooth and time effective operation.
